Well, dang Thanks for your input, it does mean a lot. Right now the best vocal I am using is the Shure SM58 but it doesnt really do much for me. I love it on stage but its just..meh...in the studio.... Any more ideas? thanks!!

Well i got to this late....but i have evans g2's, and tama rockstar custom set..12, 13, 16

I think my main problem from the get go was my muffling. My old set i had i had rings on the top, with a paper towel taped under that head, and then another paper towel taped on the inside of the bottom head. lol. I guess I just forgot what the real drums sounded like. :D now i know better...

why cant u just do both? Mail to yourself to get it back quicker, and register at the Library for more proof. It would only cost like a buck more at the most.

i think i may have got it. They have a little overtone, but its pleasant, its not just a muffled thud like my old set. I think im gonna be very pleased with this set.

can a little muffle on the bottom head help fix my sound? and thanks for the replies everyone

I know the drum tuning bible and stuff...but im having a hard time with what i have....I have evens coated g2s...but there is still a god awful ring...and i dunno how to rid it...ive tried everything. Thanks in advance..

Well, I really like how tama came up with the no hole for tom mounting..that was a major plus with me...i like the all wood thing...wood snare...and the idea about the extra tom is great! i might just do that!!! thanks everyone
