    ghostwriting questions

I do. But I wouldn't mind some quick money writing up a few simpy verses.

    ghostwriting questions

I'm somewhat interested in doing some ghostwriting for some local guys maybe. I'm wondering what people usually pay per song (or per verse or what?), and how to approach someone on the idea. We have some pretty wack cat's at school and I could crank out something of twice their skill fairly fast.

    on getting recognition

A friend of mine got equipment and is creating a label and I'm signed now (http://www.jm-records.com/ridl). We have open mic nights in town. Once I get some beats and lyrics perfectly together/recorded I'll probably play some. I'm not gonna mess around with other rap acts around town. I'm...

    DJ mixtape marketing

Ouch....what would anyone like to see on a mixtape, how's that for a better question? I mix straight to tape from my mixer....but then again...I can convert it onto the computer, and it would look more professional.

    DJ mixtape marketing

Hello. I would like to sell a live mixtape (I'm a bedroom DJ and would like not to be) at a local shop, and believe I will be doing so soon. I was wondering if people who see this could tell me what _they_ would find appealing as a cover to a mixtape (a tape in a regular plastic case). What...

    on getting recognition

Lack of money, but not a lack of skill. A friend's getting fairly good home recording equipment soon and making a label. I'm going to attempt to make the cd as good as possible (I may supply a few of the beats) and timeless. I can't stand when you listen to an artists stuff and it sounds so...

    on getting recognition

What are some people's thoughts on getting recognition as a skilled MC. Any ideas on the best way to do this? magazine interviews, unrelentless marketing? Thanks

    That R. Kelly Sound????

The way rnb is done nowadays is very minimilistic. Bass/hi hat/synth/piano keys. You just have to keep a slow tempo so you have room for a simple beat that has the piano/synth in the background. Don't really need any effects to get it.

    That R. Kelly Sound????

You explained already how to answer your question. A simple beat(bass and tic) backed by a piano loop. You drop out 1 or 2 of the 3 during chorii and the introduction and it'll sound good usually.

    Recording DJ sets

The set shouldn't need post-production, that would ruin the thought of it being a live set, it's supposed to show off the DJs abilities. I find hooking my mixer up to a tape deck works great, and then connecting the tape deck to a compter. It would probably be better quality to hook the mixer...

sounds better slightly slowed down, so you know.

    piano loop

Here you guys, happy holidays. I just made this and really love it. Use it in a beat if you want (I know I shall).

    speak' terminal>rca jack

The speaks have 'terminals.' I just learned a new word. It's those little red/black clips that flip up and you stick the L or R wire in to connect them. That's what I'm looking for, essentially: terminal wire>rca jack

    speak' terminal>rca jack

It's a dj setup and all the in/outputs on the back of the mixer are RCA's. But the speakers I want are just regular L/R cable. Is there a way to connect the 2?

    speak' terminal>rca jack

Hello. I'm thinking of buying these speakers, but the output is a terminal (speaker wire, w/o any jacks), but my mixer that I want to hook it into only accepts rca jacks. Is it possible to get them to work together? Thanks

First track on here from me. Listen and critique.

You need some work. Listen to some cage/copywrite/necro/ill bill stuff, they're good at horrorcore (copy doesn't do it, but they go together well). SHIIIITTTTY chorus (like necro). You ripped the beat so no props there--in fact, negative: it's too light, needs to be deeper, scary, if you're...
