Yeah I was asking f it can be done by a real drummer, I figured if it's not physically possible then it would automatically sound robotic no matter what techniques I used to humanize it.

I am programming drums and don't know if this rhythm is humanly possible, I don't want it to sound robotic. It's simply a continuous 16th note pattern at 190bpm on the toms for three measures. each tom gets 4 hits: aaaabbbbccccaaaabbbbcccc etc for three measures

I am looking to create a sort of chimey quality to distorted electric guitar solos, much like a distortion harmonic. Is there any effects or EQ techniques that could help me do this, or is this primarily related to guitar\amp? I am mic'ing a tube amp with an SM57.

Currently I have a single SM57 close-miced on my cab and am very happy with the tone. However I would like to experiment with condensers and see what they can do for me. My question is, since a condenser is going to pick up more room sound, and the room in untreated, will it kill my recording...

Thanks for the comment, no it's not an amp sim it's a cranked tube amp, so far most people like it and I am happy with it, so I don't want to change it. There are couple timing issues, they are pretty minor though and so I won't be bothered to fix it, because I have spent too much time on it...

Thanks for the comments ido1957, I should probably automate the volume on the lead track to bring it out a bit should be easy. hehe yeah, many people think it's a "gimmick" genre, I tend to disagree I enjoy it quite a bit ala Ensiferum, Fintroll, Korpiklaani etc.
