whats the deal with these patches needed to make a soundcard or whatever else work properly. i will probably need to get one with my tascam us-122 soundcard cause my computer is messed by some virus. but anyway just would like to know what these patches do . thanx

i'm very interested in the tascam US-122 and i was wandering what it means when it says it has "16 channels of midi in/out". does that mean i can only record 16 tracks of midi? or just feed it 16 at once? also would like to know how people feel about tthe US-122 and if there are any pro's and...

well it looks like i'm going to get a midiman radium, and then probably a TASCAM us-122 usb sound card to begin recording. never used midi before is there anything i should know and where do i start? any comments about the radium?

how would i use midi (if possible ) on a card like the ECHO MIA which has analoge and coaxial IO's but no midi in/outs? 2) do USB soundcards sound any different or lose any quality compared to the pci slot ones?

was wandering if bought a midi keyboard that has like 61 keys how would i work it so i can get lower or higher sounds that i could get with an 88 key board? if that makes sense

was wandering if the multytracking programs come with good virtual mixers or mixers at all? how important is a good mixer? i'm a solo artist mainlt playing rock/metal doing midi drums and keyboard effects and micing the rest.

i kind of understand what this is but can it be done with any midi keyboard? do i need software and samples?
