hey blak jak, i too am using XP and am about to but the Tascam us-122 and i was wandering where u get the windows patch from .
i know i'll need the patch cause my computer is having some internet problems but i need to know if the patch is from microsoft cause any microsoft webpage won't...
whats the deal with these patches needed to make a soundcard or whatever else work properly.
i will probably need to get one with my tascam us-122 soundcard cause my computer is messed by some virus.
but anyway just would like to know what these patches do .

no i was talking about the tascam US-122, the small usb soundcard.
and i just wanted to know if the radium does everything u need it to do and do u think u need the 61 keys or should i say would 49 like in the edirol be to little?
i'll also note that i need a midi controller to for all synths...
i wanted to know the same thing, i heard that the keys have a cheap feel to them, and stone do u use a tascam 122 ? i was thinking of getting one to use with either a radium 61 or edirol 50 i think its called,
i'm very interested in the tascam US-122 and i was wandering what it means when it says it has "16 channels of midi in/out". does that mean i can only record 16 tracks of midi? or just feed it 16 at once?
also would like to know how people feel about tthe US-122 and if there are any pro's and...
well it looks like i'm going to get a midiman radium, and then probably a TASCAM us-122 usb sound card to begin recording.
never used midi before is there anything i should know and where do i start?

well if i were using software based synths ( which is what i plan to do) then wouldn't i need to have a soundcard that has midi in/out just to use a keyboard as a controller for the synths?
or could i record midi by using a seperate USB midi interface , but then i guess the midi would...
how would i use midi (if possible ) on a card like the ECHO MIA which has analoge and coaxial IO's but no midi in/outs?
