We're watching how this happens in real time. Created an atmosphere of distrust. Point to yourself and select others as the 'truth bearers'. Diminish the power of the masses to make decisions (oppressive voting measures, redistricting, and nurturing distrust in the voting process). Fox News has for a long time been the delivery mechanism of choice for disinformation. It's all right there in plain sight, 20 something years of it.

In the past we would look at third world countries with dictatorships and scratch our heads, wondering "how do they let themselves get trapped under that regime?" Now you know.

Both sides think the other side is peddling false information and have their ‘trusted sources’ of information with documents, articles, links, videos etc.

Maybe both sides even think the other side is insane and possibly evil.

Dishonesty is part of Democrat (D)NA as has been demonstrated in Glorious Technicolor. Narrative over truth always. Dem leadership has an army of minions who are happy to facilitate any scam they pull. Not 1 in 1000 care whether the election was stolen, just like they didn't care whether Obama was constitutionally eligible or not.

There were 61 court cases about election fraud. Trump's side lost every single one of them.

But who was really correct? The world may never know.

I was trying to stay away from the Trump issue, but you had to go there.

Forget about Hillary and ‘ lock her up’. That would have just started a civil war.

Let’s stick just to “drain the swamp”.

When I was a kid, all the adults thought so. And it’s only grown bigger since then.

If true, wouldn’t a massive purge and reorganization of Washington DC be a good thing?

And wouldn’t the entrenched Establishment fight any such effort tooth and nail?

Trump has been bribing politicians for decades. He is the most corrupt swamp lizard of them all.

The slogan was merely for idiots to consume. Trump had no intentions what-so-ever of cleaning anything up.

The way to clean up Washington DC would be to enact campaign finance laws that outlaw bribery. Republican Supreme Court justices have instead legislated the idea that bribery is free speech. Trump appointed more judges that hold that corrupt view.

Campaign finance laws are in contradiction to the vested/moneyed interests that wrestle influence away from the people.

He’s a single lone minnow in a sea of sharks.

I’m sure Lockheed Martin, Vanguard, BlackRock, Google, General Ekectric and the other assorted mega corporations and billionaires and trillionaires have much more bribe powers and influence over the government than Trump ever did.

Maybe he didn’t have any intention of drawing the swamp.

That doesn’t invalidate the concept of Drain the Swamp. That needs to happen.
And it doesn’t make people who had been behind that idiots.

But with your logic, Obama’s “Hope and Change” was just a campaign slogan for the “Idiots to consume” as well.
