You can get "CD Burner XP" from Ninite. I have just installed it to test on this W10 laptop and although I have not yet tried to burn a CD it installed and seems fine. I normally use Nero on a W7 laptop or Samplitude.
"Computer" was mentioned in the OP, not 'laptop'? If it is indeed a desktop just buy a new CD unit. In fact you could try opening up the case, go to Device Manager and 'Uninstall' the drive. Unplug power and data cables, boot machine. Once running, shut down, reconnect the drive and re boot. The PC will find the drive and proceed to install it. You might find it now works!
I had a drive fail a few months ago in an old W7 DT and bought two S/H drives from a 'puter repair shop for £20. One fixed it.
Had two of those USB jobbys, yes, ok. You might need a dual USB cable to get enough power for burning.
