Somewhat Random Noise in Studio Monitors and Amplifier

I've had this noise issue plaguing me since i moved into my new house. I have a few keyboards, computer, monitors and a behringer keyboard amp in my studio. I have almost everything plugged into a power conditioner. However i still get this buzzing sound every few minutes and it lasts for about 30 seconds. I recorded it so i could share to see if anyone has experienced the same thing. Everything in the studio is grounded and the amp / studio monitors still make this noise with everything else turned off in the studio. very strange. let me know if you have any ideas on what i can do to eliminate this.

If there's a UPS in the chain, take it out and see if it still happens. Otherwise, start inspecting everything in the house for cyclical properties.
 
That is odd and obviously not good.

Strangely though I must ask. Was that you tapping a beat on an open ended guitar cable? That is exactly what it sounded like to me. Especially since the noise stopped as you moved to stop the recording...

Sorry if I am inappropriately calling you out. It has been a long few months and my usual 'help anyone stance' has been a bit. well 'not so helpful'...

It does seem that there is a rhythmic cycle to the noise. So find what is causing that.
 
There is a ups in the room but it's not plugged into anything in the chain.

No tapping going on either.
 
I had a random noise in my studio that came out of the blue, after pulling half the gear apart it was a faulty fluro security light outside the front door :facepalm:

Have a look around the house and see if anything is starting and stopping when the noise appears? Washing machine, fridge, exercise machine LOL.

Although it doesn't sound like any router I've ever heard pinging the network, do you have a wireless network router close to your workstation?

I'd unplug it and physically remove it from the room (I mean give it some distance here...) and see if anything clears up. Been here, done this.
 
I had something similar. Seemed to be random and would happen with both the internal soundcard and my Tascam US800. When I built a new desk I rewired my whole set up and it never happened again - but I used the old cables .... So maybe it was something coming through the power cables and getting picked up by an audio cable that was running near one of them.
