I dig it. I like that you used a 2x12. It sounds nice and thick to me at work. Question about your 2X12. Do you have it right on the floor or do you have it up on anything?

In my basement closet. It's solid concrete. I had more blankets hanging but it sounds way better without them.

The wife is home today, so no new tones. Maybe tomorrow.

Dude...nice amp!

I think I'm going to try and DIY something like that with my Twin. I need to flip the chassis so the tubes are on top, having constant issues with solder joints breaking up and causing all sorts of issues. Same thing with the hot rod deluxe I got recently just to make sure it doesn't do the same.

Minerman, that kind of makes me want to take another stab at Reaper...nice looking stuff!

Ah, I had a Fender Bassman amp for about 6 months. It was loaned to me & I had fun with it. When I returned it the owner said words to the effect that they'd forgotten they owned it & had loaned it to me. I COULD have kept it!! Well, no I couldn't because I'm not that way inclined but crikey I could've hung onto it another year or more!

Brilliant. I was curious how you set it up. Thanks for that.

Here's another update for my Reaper theme, I'm gonna try to post some tones in the next couple days though....I thought some of you guys here would like this theme, check out the control panel in the mixer (record button, volume, pan, etc) :):

Whenever I get it done, I'll upload it so anyone who uses Reaper can have a copy if they want...

Lol. Holy crap dude. How do you make that shit with Reaper? I'm still using the default theme from 7 years ago.

Lol....I've been fucking around with GIMP (freebie graphics editor), & the files that make Reaper tick basically...Of course, everybody ain't gonna use these amp mixer panels, but they are cool to fuck with...

So far I've made:

JTM
JMP
JCM 800
Silver Jubilee
DSL 100
JVM 410
6100 LM

What have I left out of the Marshall family??? I'm thinking of doing a white RR amp, but not sure...

I'm just about done fucking with these amp mixer panels, so it should take too long for me to button it up I hope....

Lemme know if you want a copy & I'll send you one...Like I said, I know most folks ain't gonna use these things, but I think they are cool....

You left out the TSL and 900. And the MG! :laughings:

No thanks. I don't want it. Too fancy. I can appreciate the time and effort you put into that, but there's a reason I'm still using the default 2.0 scheme. I just stick with what I know.

Lol....I really wasn't gonna do the "other" Marshalls.....hahaha

Like I said dude, if you want a copy to show off to your friends lemme know, but I know most folks ain't gonna use this...This is just me being a Marshall fanboy as usual...

The only friends I have that would dig this are in here. Lol. Most of my meat-world friends have nothing to do with music, and the one's that do don't record at all. I'm a lone ranger in my meat world. :laughings:

I don't know if I mentioned this yet...but I have a gig in November where I'll be doing double-duty. Both of my bands are playing the same bill. I'll be drumming and guitaring at the same show. Gonna be awesome.....or a trainwreck. :laughings:

Tonight's gig might be interesting too. My last guitar band and my current guitar band do not like each other. It has nothing to do with me, but my jumping ship from one to the other doesn't add anything good to the scenario. Tonight's gig has my ex band and my current band on the same bill. Should be interesting. I might be kicking some ass, literally, tonight if they start any shit. Maybe the old band will be cool, but if everything I hear through the rumor mill is true, they're not happy with me. Fuck them. I quit because they suck. This old domesticated punk rocker will still kick the living shit out of some crusty ass losers if need be. :spank:

But besides all that, should be good. Gonna play the Angus SG and JCM 800 tonight. :thumbs up:

I'd not heard anything dude, I've been out of the loop for a while, life's kickin' ass here at times....

I don't blame you, I always hated that stupid shit too, & when I was involved in it, I never took any shit from anyone, literally. I wouldn't have a problem knocking the living fuck out of someone if they needed it either dude, more power to ya...

Both of those sound like fun.
The double duty gig should be a blast! Which will come first ... drumming or Guitar?
I think I'd prefer guitar band first if it were me. You use a lot of energy when you play drums.

As for the sucky band being where your good band is ..... fuck 'em. if they hadn't have sucked you'd still be playing with them.

So here's some slide with same everything as before except it's an open back cab. Everything is the same from mics, guitar, amp, settings including the speakers.
that's quite a nice sound man. Nice and solid ...... just the right amount of breakup for that sound ..... I'd like a little more sustain but that might muddy things up.

"Don't do it ...... don't ya' break my heart ...... ' oops ..... went a little over.
:)

Thanks Bob. I haven't applied the Lowell George compression. As I've been told, he used 2 compressor's. One to squish the signal and the other pull long sustained parts up. He also had a pre amp wired into his set up. I know his son and he's sending me the wiring his dad used from around the Waiting For Columbus album up to his death. I was also told some of his early tracks were done with his guitar plugged directly into the recording desk! Not even into the mixing board.

Oh, and I blew one of the speakers in open back cab. Probably the one that's been sitting around in my garage for the last 20 years and not used. We'll see.

And Bob; If you ever find yourself up north in my neck of the woods, let me know. I'll get us some gigs.

One of the very best live albums of all time. I used to do 'Time Loves a Hero' and 'Day or Night' but most bands don't seem to be able to get their minds around those songs so I've given up on them.

That'd be awesome ...... I hope I get a chance to do that.
