Great....now I can sit across the room and still read your posts.

I hope we're done with the life lessons from now on.yadayada
I never fail to be amazed at some of the newbies who burst into a forum full of swagger, confidence and opinion, and then get their panties in a knot when the humorous jostling gets a little too intense for them. Can't take a joke? If one is going to have ANY contact with the music business, on almost any level, the quick development of a thick skin and a sense of humor is essential. Nobody cares if you cry yourself to sleep at night, and high drama from anyone is an f-ing bore..

Why would he spend his time actively trying to destroy for me?
My observation from the first pages that RAMIRAMI tried to encourage ppl not to give me straight answers, and paid a huge amount of attention to irrelevant details just got me curious. Why would he spend his time actively trying to destroy for me?
^^^^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^^^^^Sense of humour, yes. Thick skin helps. But we need to be careful that we don't use someone else's sensitivity as a justification for our own sometime insensitivity. If I went to see the Doctor because I hurt my back and he or she asks me what I do for a living and my age and I say "I'm 51 and I do delivery work which involves lifting heavy stuff", I wouldn't take it too kindly if he or she said "Well what d'you expect, you bloody idiot ? Full and perfect health ? You're a road away from retirement and you insist on playing a young man's game ! Get a brain ! Get a life ! Sheeesh !"
Technically, they might be right but as I once asked a very crabby mate of mine that just used to drop bombs all over the place "What's more important to you; to get your point of view across or for the person you're speaking to to receive it ?"
I was actually surprised at her reply.
AND this ^^^^^^^^^^^^^Then again......maybe you're just overreacting.![]()
There, that's 2 apologies in 24 hours. Yesterday, I was obviously too serious, and today I was obviously too funny for my own good. I got to find that crappy medium. I'm actually one of the coolest and funniest people you could ever hang out with. I just suck on the internet sometimes.![]()
Boy...that 3 week exile off the reservation really softened you up.![]()
I thought you'd like it. LOL! Just two more weeks!Cute story.
See you in class soon. Just 2 more weeks!![]()
Hehe...yeah, I know you're joking but, in a way it did, but not in a pansy way. I find that there's too much anonamous aggression on the internet to the point that it's become kind of sick in a way. Youtube video comments, sports websites, this place, etc.....Man, go to any Youtube video, even a fucking comedy video, and you have people arguing and insulting each other. And I'm embarrassed to say that I have been THAT GUY on occasion. I mean, not over the top stuff, but I'll find myself telling someone that they're stupid just because they don't think a comedian's funny and I do, or whatever. And then I'll go back and read my comment a few months later when I stumble on the same video and say "I can't believe I typed that. Why would I say that?". And then I'm actually embarrassed because I don't want to be THAT GUY.
So, when I find myself in a little friction now, rather than just get my back up and blame the other person, I ask myself what part I played in it. It's funny because in person most people would get along right away, rather than not. On the internet, it's the opposite. You'd think it would be the other way around since, supposedly "familiarity breeds contempt", but it seems that "anonimity breeds contempt" and "familiarity breeds trust".
I'm not going all Koom-Bya on your asses, but I just wish the world was a friendlier place, but I have no right to complain if I'm part of the problem.
It's like the show "The Incredible Hulk". When I was a kid, I started watching it. Always him trying not to get mad, and then going ballistic when someone got him mad. But he was supposedly the good guy, it was always the other guy's fault. But after about 5 episodes I remember thinking "Dude. Maybe it's YOU".

EDIT:
Man, I don't have the energy for this kind of friction. I'd like to try and put an end to this.
I'll do what I did yesterday in another thread and just say that I'm sorry if I offended you, it wasn't my intention. My jokes on the first few pages weren't meant to belittle you. In fact, they were meant to loosen things up a bit. All the ending my posts with "Go get 'em tiger!" and all that stuff was just a carry over joke from another thread. It wasn't directed at you at all. Unfortunately, they were taken a different way and it sent the thread in the wrong direction. I honestly meant no harm, but I'll apologize for my part in causing so much bad vibes. I wasn't trying to "destroy" you in any way, and I even tried to stay on topic after that, by talking about room treatment. I read back my posts, and I can see how what I say can often be mis-intepreted as condescending or arrogant. It's just my typing style, I certainly don't mean to come off like I know everything because I admittedly know very little, relatively.
