I would not use the term 'Nazi' nor would I use a nationality as a derogatory description of a typical type of censorship. No, not the same connotation as 'nigga', but just as similarly racist IMO.

Just sayin...

I would rather not see the word printed myself. Even though the censorship of the word itself in some way gives it more power, it is a step in the right direction to show that it is not a term that should be used by anyone, and I find no offense in the blocking of it. **** (p.o.r.n) is another one that I would rather my daughter not see. Though eventually she will Google it herself. She does not need to see it until she is old enough to figure out what the words mean-yet...
 
That was all said in jest folks! I just found the whole thing to be hilarious! Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor, Geirge Carlin, etc would have also thought it was funny. The idea that people think that words are dangerous strikes me as hilarious! Words are just words.
 
I was once told at work that I couldn't say I was "gipped" out of something, because it was a racial slur against Gypsies. At which point I pointed to a can of sauerkraut and asked why a company that was that anti-racial slur would use the word KRAUT as its description...

I'm glad everyone figured out that everything I said was in jest, because I'm neither a misogynist, a homophobe, a xenophobe, a racist, or a misanthrope! LOL! The only thing I hate is myself when I forget the lyrics half-way through a song that I'm singing.! LOL! The frequency of which is in direct proportion to the number of shots I've indulged myself between sets. LOL!
 
do the basic triangle with your head as the point and get them at ear level. how can you hear them the way they are? That would drive me nuts
 
It's easiest. Trust me, I did the same thing. Just set the monitors on the desk and record. Then when I put my song in MP3 Clinic, everyone told me (indirectly) why you need them at ear level. MUCH BETTER!

Not in the slightest bit true. Words are not just words. Words are carriers, carriers of intent, carriers of internal thoughts. They verbally express the world within both individuals and groups. "Your Mum is a $%+king ugly slut" are more than "just words."
"Your music is lousy and will never amount to anything" are more than just words. Those that target people or groups as objects to blame, ridicule or hate and communicate that to others are more than conscious that words are not "just words."
 
I would agree with you to some extent, but anytime censorship comes into the picture, we are on a slippery and dangerous slope. My point was that censoring one word while not censoring another is not only funny, but also preposterous! I can see George Carlin or Lenny Bruce right now doing a skit called, The World's Most Dangerous Word! LOL!

Well, I think censorship has it's uses but is also dangerous because of the position of the one that carries the weight in terms of what gets censored.
But that aside, I was commenting not on censorship, but the notion that words are just words.
 
Theoretically words on their own aren't dangerous. They cant harm you. They can't slap, push, shoot, or rape you. Ideas and thoughts can be dangerous, but on their own words are harmless. Remember the old, "Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me" saying? Words can only inflict pain if we allow them to. Anyway, you know what i'm saying so I won't beleaguer you with more words! LOL!
