Zappa's bands were always the tightest on the planet. To my shame I have never seen Dweezil play live. I did see Zappa a bunch of times though...
It's a tie right now. Saw Frank four times and I've seen Dweezil four times. (Haven't met Dweezil yet though - the old man has him beat there.) The son is not quite the free-flowing player his father was. Doesn't get as far off the reservation but he's got most of the chops - all the recognizable riffs for sure - and his band is very much as tight as any of Frank's. I give him huge credit and am very thankful for him keeping the music alive. If you get a chance go see him. You may be impressed.

What's telling about this is that a regular, genuine, honest, mentally stable human being that doesn't have an agenda or ulterior motives would not dance around the issue. He would either man up and be honest, or just walk away and not care if nameless faceless people on the internet disagree with him. Victim Pete Levillee is incapable of both.

The powder keeps your hands dry and free of sweat, oil, salt and any other gunk that accumulates. You know how frets get that crud around them from playing? With powder that never gets a chance to build up, never happens. Fretboards stay clean and dry, playing is made much easier with less friction. Go back and read the original post, I explain it very clearly. Now can you tell why this is bad?

It's not bad, it's just stupid because a clean dry cloth does the same thing....without the buildup of fucking powder everywhere. So yeah, maybe powder has some merit for idiots that are too lazy to clean their guitars and/or idiots that are too poor to buy strings. I'll give you that. Powder is great for lazy, broke idiots that try to play guitar.

No, I'm not an idiot. I don't leave my strings on the guitar for years and years until they rust. Oxidation is not the problem you think it is.

Answer my questions.

I change my strings at least once a month. Go ahead and wipe down your strings with a damp cloth while playing, in no time you will lose your treble for good.

No, you cant "strawman" this back at me, you were referring to yourselves as laymen and I set up the equation accordingly.

You are a layman. You've displayed no technical or advanced knowledge of guitar design, construction, or maintenance. You = layman.

I'm sure I would. I8t's on my hit list but with kids and work and life as it is these days me and the missus have less and less time to get to shows. I struggle to cover the ones I'm booked on and find myself having to drag myself off to them these days. Always love it when I do but I guess I'm just getting old.........:o

Oh I don't walk away from deceitful accusations and insults. Nope no way.

I don't need to wipe my strings while playing. How fucking dirty are you that just playing guitar turns your gear into a slobby disgusting mess? I wipe my guitar afterwards with a clean dry cloth, and there's never any problem. The same way millions of guitarists have done it for decades. Do we all have "treble" problems? Maybe you're just fucking deaf.

Funny how you are now trying to change the spin on your curve ball. It is not the same as a dry cloth. I still change strings regularly you have to keep them sounding their best and maintain good intonation. Have you ever tried some powder on your hands while playing, just try a small amount if you are afraid of getting messy.

Is deaf another word for fucking stoopid troll..?

For those of you just joining in, here's how a sane person keeps his guitar clean and playing well:

1) Wash your fucking hands before you play
2) Play your ass off
3) Wipe your guitar off with a clean dry cloth afterwards.

Bam, no idiotic powder, no problem.

You are a layman. You've displayed no technical or advanced knowledge of guitar design, construction, or maintenance. You = layman.

You definition does not pertain to me, you know nothing about my knowledge or technical ability. Please stop making assumption about how you wish I would be.

Where do you come with these assumptions? Again please stop fabricating scenarios.

Is that right? So you haven't given us any clue as to your knowledge....:laughings:

I'm not changing any spin. I gave you a slight benefit of the doubt. Be happy for that. I'll concede that powder might be useful for completely lazy morons that have poor personal hygiene and can't afford to change strings regularly.
