Stick around buddy we shall have a Zappa thread and just let us take part...;)
That sounds like a plan. I saw Dweezil again in November doing the Roxy 40th anniversary tour. Kid's doing the old man proud. Great fucking band - tight as tight can be.

Lol. A damp cloth clogs the windings, but a fucking powder doesn't? :laughings:

Basic common sense doesn't exist in victim pete's tiny little world.

It's stupid because it's stupid. Red is a color because it's red. It's the same principle. Tell me why it's not stupid, with facts. Specifically. Give me one valid scientific reason to dump powder on a guitar that can't be explained away with logic and reason or by using another method.

Nope, not an answer. Your analogy has failed big time epic. BTW the sky is blue for a specific scientific reason. Also red is red for another scientific reason, it has to do with a specific frequency of the electromagnetic radiation spectrum.

You missed the point. Never mind that. Just provide valid facts specifically for these two statements:

Give me one valid scientific reason to dump powder on a guitar that can't be explained away with logic and reason or by using another method.

Explain your alias troll account in regards to you having been banned several times already.

It's stupid because you're putting powder all over your hands and fretboard. Do you even play guitar? Why do you do that? Because Jeff Beck does it?

Here are some facts:
You are not Jeff Beck
He also wears duct tape around his bicep. Do you do that too?

Yes I play guitar. I have been using powder since the early 1990's.

Zappa's bands were always the tightest on the planet. To my shame I have never seen Dweezil play live. I did see Zappa a bunch of times though...

No the powder always stay dry, light and airy. A damp rag will kill the strings in no time, it has to do with oxidation. Try it yourself.

Bullshit! Keith may have spilled some cocaine on his hands, but he has never used corn starch on his hands. What an idiotic tale that is!

How's the beer? Do you like yourself better now?

To paraphrase the famous Winston Churchill when some one accused him of being a drunk. I forget the exact retort but you get the picture... "Are yes sir, but in the morning I will be sober but you will still be a dumbfuck"

No, I'm not an idiot. I don't leave my strings on the guitar for years and years until they rust. Oxidation is not the problem you think it is.

Answer my questions.

The powder keeps your hands dry and free of sweat, oil, salt and any other gunk that accumulates. You know how frets get that crud around them from playing? With powder that never gets a chance to build up, never happens. Fretboards stay clean and dry, playing is made much easier with less friction. Go back and read the original post, I explain it very clearly. Now can you tell why this is bad?
