I follow my own rules.
No you dont, the more you lie, the less credible you become, but wait, yes lie...
Santana - Winning Lyrics - YouTube
I follow my own rules.
He does, he writes verse verse chorus, like every commercial song out there has, and then he doesnt follow rules!

Santana - Winning Lyrics - YouTube
I see you trying really hard, bless your heart, but you just don't get this stuff at all.
No, money has nothing to do with it, there is good songwriting, and there is bad songwriting, THAT is the point
I'm not lying about anything. To lie would mean that I care what you think, and I'm telling you now for like the 5th time, I don't. And again with the Santana. I didn't watch it before, I'm not watching it now. If you're just gonna keep repeating yourself, you've run out of bullets.
you make it so easy
Sureeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee you didnt listen
No there isn't. There's songs. You like some, you don't like some. You're not the decider, no matter how badly you want to be.
I didn't. I don't like Santana. Sorry.
I dont care who you like. but I know you listened
Im the decider if I like it or not, Im not the decider if it's well written. There are many well written songs that I hate, "somewhere over the rainbow" is one

I'm not attacking the articles, I'm attacking you for not realizing that literally everyone already knows this shit by the time they've outgrown Dr Seuss books.
There's way more to songwriting than the lyrics, and you can't learn that stuff from articles or youtube videos. So, I guess you're fucked.
I never said that at all. Don't make things up or put words in my mouth. That's another sure sign that you're out of bullets. So if a song doesnt have the elements that "everyone knows" then it;s not well written.
I've been saying that since day one. Anyone can write a song. If you, as the author, feels satisfied with whatever you've written, if you feel it's an honest and true representation of your idea, then it's a good song. It can be complex and technical, or a three chord blues riff. If it's what you want, then it's good.I mean if a hack like you can write a song with a smidgen of craft, then ANYBODY should be able to, but all i got was answers saying ney
Keep writing songs that sound like everybody else out there, you sold out before you even got started
