Just thought I'd share this as I stumbled upon it. Someone might be interested.

Waves are giving away Renaissance Bass - Bass Enhancement - $75 plugin for free on Black Friday - just need to sign up for the mailing list thing-ma-jig on the link below and they'll email you a link when it is available to download.

No...Waves got rid of that idiotic iLok crap.

You will need to set up an account (even for the free stuff)....then you install their Waves License Center (for online or offline DAWs)....and you also need a dedicated USB/Flash/Thumb drive where the codes reside and the drive stays in the computer where you are using the plugs (this is what replaced the stupid iLok).

A few steps, yes, but once you do this....you can download demo/buy/install other Waves stuff easy.
 
Meh, too much work for something I'll probably never use
 
On a related note, if someone was looking for a first bundle of 3rd party plugins the musicians bundle 2 is on sale and has a nice set of core plugins.
 
I got the free Bass plug last night and gave it a quick test......sweet. Gives you very quick/easy manipulation of the low end, and you instantly have a bunch of bass flavors to pick from.

Yeah, if it's going to be the only Waves plug you ever get, it's a bit of a process to get set up the account and install their Licensing Center software, etc......but I'm already using several Waves plugs I bought, so when they toss out the freebies, it's a no-brainier! :D

Just picked up the Abbey Road REDD equalizer plug set for $89 from Waves, (Audio Deluxe has it for $75...I just missed it :mad:). I also pulled the trigger on the Waves Tune, which I got from Audio Deluxe for $75... :)....not bad for a $400 plug!
It's pretty much just like the Melodyne stuff.
 
I only snagged the freebee. I don't own to many waves plugs. Snagged oneknob louder last year for free and grabbed vocal rider, q10 and CLA comps earlier this year.

I did snag komplete 9 though. :)
