Neither do studio musicans, I guess, but you do

I really have to question the quality of any "studio musician" that you deal with. You have singers that can't double track, players that can't play in time, and drummers that can't figure anything out. It's no wonder you're so fucked in the head and have such a screwed up view of how things actually work. I'm starting to think that maybe your ignorance isn't your fault at all. Maybe you're just a product of a bad environment.

Well, you were, or at least you were strongly challenging it.
Now you've backpedalled and said, OK Ok it CAN be done but you're making out like it dominates the project or something?

Seriously man, I'm trying to help. Mapping a tempo track to a song takes about 5 minutes per 3 minute song.

Could you just, at some point, say "I didn't know that; Thanks."

First of all, your project is not what we are talking about. Im not backpedaling, I dont want to keep smacking you around, Ill let you up for air every now and then.

if you sit and fix every measure of a song, why bother? That is not music, that is electronics, besides I havent heard it

I have to question you, because you wont play me drums to a song done without a click

You clearly don't understand.
I don't fix anything.

I you come to my house and play a live acoustic / vocal number and then say you want drums, I have two choices.
I either get a drummer to play to it, or I manually create a click track so I can map midi to your performance.

It takes about 5 minutes and your performance doesn't get altered.

I told you already. Just pay me. I'll give you my paypal info.

Or question me, I don't care. I'll drum your fucking face off and I know it. I don't need your approval. :laughings:

it must be embarrasingly simple music

You probably would, but I have to question your skill if you wont do this very simple exercise

You really are an arrogant little troll....still wanting everyone else to prove something to you with their music efforts, but you haven't got the balls to post up anything to demonstrate what you are after with your own music.

I can see this thread is going to close very shortly....and then there will be at least another 1-2 similar threads about some other topic that YOU are have difficulty with, but not willing to accept anyone's answers for....and then those threads will also blow up and get closed.....
...and then who knows how the mods will handle your endless trolling, which is exactly what you are doing.

You don't want conversation....you just want to appear smarter without actually ever showing anything.

No I want one person not to fight me on this, PLAYING EVEN DRUMS TO UNEVEN MUSIC will NOT WORK

Ok, I'll agree with that. The very basic statement you made here is true. If you told a drummer to play a basic beat and then tried to lay it into some other recorded music it probably will not work at all. You don't have to be Phil Spector to know this.

But in reality, no one will do that. The drummer will listen to the music and come up with something that works. A good drummer will quickly and accurately identify the changes and be able to come up with something appropriate.

Vig and the Foos did allow a click track for drums; they''re not insane. But even then, Vig discovered the joys of free flying and forgetting the grid.

The Foo Fighters | Grohl's Garage

Lol. Seriously? That's what you base your opinions on? A basic 4/4 rock band of professionals that's been around for decades can play together without a guide track? Shocking! Quick, someone tell AC/DC!

When did simple music become embarrassing? I'd argue that some of the best music ever made is pretty damn simple.

Show me one post where someone is fighting you on that.

It's you fighting the notion that you can't play to clicks with feel, or program drum maps that follow actual tempo changes (not sloppy playing).

I can show you DAW snapshots of song after song that was done to a click track...but the drums and other instruments do not hit every beat and note on the exact CLICK. They play around it.
Man...it's so simple to play around the click with feel, that musicians have been doing it for years....yet you are the one arguing it can't be done to your satisfaction....and of course you refuse to post up any sample of your music that demonstrates what you are after.

I think you're just stuck with your own music efforts and are not able to make things work...yet you are also frustrated by the answers provided and the fact that other folks are able to make it work.
