Other than Thomann (which is great), i've had good dealings with Musicstore.de, Absolute Music and DV247 (although DV247 is now owned by musicstore.de anyway so it's really just a UK outlet to keep shipping down to our little island). Also, although i've not bought anything from them, The Goldenagemusic website stocks all the Golden Age Project gear as well as a shed load of other gear and it's based in Sweden which is cool

Just find a company that will ship to you for free and will match any advertised sale price and you will have a winner. :thumbs up:

Free Shipping ...Yet I can dream?

Just find a company that will ship to you for free and will match any advertised sale price and you will have a winner. :thumbs up:

Hi Moresound,
Hope you are well....

I wish I could find one that ships for FREE? the nearest I have found is THOMANN (GERMANY) I think, without looking you have to spend 200€ (EUROS) for free Shipping.

Maybe we should run a similar thread on a regional basis IE who has the best shipping and price match deal:listeningmusic:

All The Best Steve:thumbs up:

For huge inventory and great pricing, 8th Street. For flat-out customer service often at a slightly higher price, Sweetwater. For high end boutique gear hard to find anywhere else, Mercenary Audio. One of those three is usually right for whatever I need.

Many thanks for your feedback on the stores you list, speaking personally,I have indexed and ordered all the feedback received so I know which stores I should be dealing with.

Best Wishes Steve:)

I've always liked Sweetwater and Music123. Pro Sound and Stage Lighting is a good place too.

I would say hands down Sweetwater.com has the best customer service bar none and will match any legitimate pricing. quite the inventory as well.

I have used BSWusa.com in the past. They have those hard to locate "specific" items for certain brands. I love Sweetwater and zZounds as well. I like zZounds "Pay as You Play"-Plan for us po' folk! LoL!!! Shocking to me.... I have had alot of great luck, as of late, with Amazon Prime! Craigslist and EBay are risky but usually prove fruitful for me as well.

:listeningmusic:Good day Folks..:)

I have spent quite a long time putting together a short list of the very best in
ONLINE:- Home ~Recording & Studio ~Equipment~Shops? I think I already have a few top contenders including ZZOUNDS,MUSICIANS FRIEND,GUITAR CENTRE,THOMANN,GEAR FOR MUSIC Thes guys have superb web sites but do they have customer service, and expertise? I am new to all this..and it would really help me and no doubt others to hear just who are the best outlets!

many thanks in advance

This will depend on where you live.

If you are in Europe you should ignore all the US shops - and vice versa.

Ideally you should look at the stores in your own country first and (if in the EU) then look at stores in other EU countries.

Remember that your guarantee is with the shop where you bought the equipment and shipping abroad can be expensive - also remember that voltages and mains frequency are different in Europe and the USA.

You also need to balance the best price with quality of service and backup. Personally, I am prepared to pay a little more to get good service and backup.
