I'm doing some recordings in the next couple of weeks of my girlfriend playing drums for some drum covers (and I think we are going to start recording drums etc properly when I get a larger interface/desk)
My current interface is an Edirol FA-66, and has one headphone output on it. We will both be in the same room so I will need to buy a headphone amp so she can hear the track and herself, and I can monitor.
I'm looking for something small, only 4 stereo outs, but the only problem is that I can really afford over £50.
I have used the Art Headamp IV at college numerous times, but not for monitoring, only for playback. These do the job perfectly, but how are they for monitoring? I'm sure they are fine but obviously there must be cons on this amp (as there are on everything!)
I've been looking at the Behringer HA-400. Really cheap (under £20) but I have read mixed reviews. Some say its great and others say the power supply keeps falling out, and they don't seem to last very long.
The Millenium HA4 is a good price (around £20) but it is good quality for the price?
and lastly, the Millenium HP4. I like this because the can be rack mounted (although I did say I wanted something small, this will encourage me to save up for rack gear/patchbay after I get my new desk) but I haven't found many reviews online. These are a within my price range too.
I had the links but I have not posted enough to put links up, so google them if you want to have a look.
If anyone can give me a heads up on any of these, or let me know of any other good amps that'd be awesome cheers
