A book to get started?

Hello there people of HR, I've been wondering for some times now. I wonder if there are any good books out there that teaches you about music making and how each of the stuff works that you do know of? Please let me know if you have any books/websites that you know is good. Thanks!

Yes. I have The Mixing Engineers Handbook and have learned quite a bit from it so far! I plan on getting the other two soon.
 
It's fine man. It happens in a male dominated field. It's more common for women to be musicians than producers. To heck with that! Anyways, back on subject. Nothing will ever replace having a few good books to reference easily. Get as many as you can, socialize (like said forum) and if you can, find an apprenticeship. That's my plan anyways.

Oh, I don't know. The continuation of the human race is more dependent on women being producers than it is them being musicians ! :D
