LOL. I know. I was just pulling at a thread.
I think professional results can be achieved in a home recording environment and there are plenty of potentially professional songwriters.
Before HR existed, I'm sure there were thousands of studios churning out thousands of records that never went anywhere.
The same thing happens now, except it happens at home.
Songwriting as a global art hasn't declined in quality because people record at home. You just hear more of the bad stuff because it's right at your fingertips.
Sure, the technology is much more accessible and what have you, but that just means you don't have to pay someone else £20 an hour to not quite succeed in music.
Things change. If studios are out of pocket over this, they should adapt. Plenty have done. There's a massive market now for audio technology education. Turn your studio into a training facility and your probably back in the money.
You can think whatever you want, but you are wrong. Sure bring in an engineer, producer, a band and write a great song, yeah you can do it.
Doing it all yourself you cant and you wont.
