I think golf is boring and country club memberships are a waste of cash. But if I changed my name to "i hate golf" and went on a golfing forum and talked about what a waste of time golf is, I would expect to get razzed pretty hard.

No, plenty of people who play instruments would rather watch TV than play. Your friend who drives the trucks for instance.... Ultimately everyone does what they want to, whether it's rock out, watch TV, raise a family, build ships in a bottle, or some combination.

But if you were a really experienced golfer, they couldnt challenge you. Perhaps he didnt like the current state of golfing, or the direction of golfing was going, perhaps he would say to the razzers "step aside while I show you how it's done" and much silence would occur.

But I didnt know it was razzing you were giving, I thought you were just pretty dense.

Do you have a number on this to call it plenty? or are you talking out of your ass.

Ill agree, plenty would rather watch tv than LEARN how to play or write songs, just as you guys would rather bullshit on a forum about compressor A, than learn how to play or write.

Which goes back to the op, learn how to write and to play.

Besides you wont admit Im better than you, so why argue the point.

Ill check back precisely 1 year from today, and see if any of you have improved as musicians or songwriters.

And id really hope you would have moved on from this, Im not overly optimistic however.

I agree with your point about songwriting, but why be such a dick about making it? Haven't YOU got better things to do than hang around trolling people?

Haha, didn't see this. I've been trying to watch more but it's tough - it takes me 3 sittings to get through most movies. :o
