...and after I calmly explained that he was close to death at that moment he tried to backpedal a little bit. He said that was the first band that came to mind.

I did this mix about 4 - 5 months ago. Not sure what to think. Sometimes I like the mix, sometimes I want to scrap it and re-record (the band would probably be pissed).

Let me know what you think!

Let Me Go - Trial by Stone

It has a very 90's feel to it. And lot's of bands from the 90's kinda had that same "nickleback" feel. So, rather than saying it sounds like one of the worst bands that came out of the 90's (and that should have died with the 90's), I will say it sounds like that generation of music as a whole. Good work!

On first listen, I thought there's a large sonic difference when you go from the clean to the overdrive guitar sound. The second time through it wasn't so noticeable - maybe I was just accustomed to it. The two different vocals were a little surprise as most songs have one singer (except maybe RAP). The balance is good between the various instruments so overall it works for me. The Nickleback comment is probably due to limited exposure to this genre...

Good catch with the double-vocals. I thought that they were close enough so that the effect wouldn't be noticeable - except the harmonies in the chorus - so I might have to revisit that. I'll look into the transistion from clean to distorted guitars. It might just be a matter of a fade or adjusting some volumes. I really appreciate feedback like this.

Sounds like Nickelback to me....

:D

;)

Actually...I can't pull from dropbox at work (they block it for fear of viruses-n-stuff)...
...so I'll take a listen from home later...or maybe you can put it on SoundCloud or SoundClick...or something like that. :)
