Strange problem with M Audio Fast Track 2 USB
Hi...so I bought m audio fast track II usb, I have windows 7, and I have condesner mic Studio Projects B1 XLR...

I hooked up eery cable I mean - usb to comp, and XLR to MIC IN, and the problems occurs:

Its so strange I tried almost 5 hours to solve this problem...its annoying...

I cant record when I push record button in AA 3 or even in Audacity, the signal dosent exist, I got TBIA errors but I solved this, but its dosent help at all...I can hear myself by direct monitor, also I see a signal led when Im talkin so the device is okay, I figuared this when I connect my M - Audio with out a XLR and with out a jack or heeadphones plug only USB, system windows 7 has searching the drivers and the DRIVERS are great I mean I see in Sound Device 2 things: ''Speaker M Audio, and Mic M Audio'' however they not give me any signals on desktop when I try talk... When I installed the newest driver for my M audio I got TBIA error, and instead mic icon and speaker I get a LINE IN and LINE OUT icons (the white and red almost the same on the back hardware for the monitors I guess), so as you see I cant record anything, I dont know what is the problem, please give me any advice, also the device was dropped 3 times but nothing much happend and everything seems okay...

Also I wanna admit that Im using a netbook, and he has a soundcard Realtek HD

When I turn M Audio USB Asio 4 All option And when I push rec button I got instead vocal wave I got big square shape....

Nevermind, didn't see the first time you DID update your drivers.

Yes, first I let that windows update do this thig, and icons in sound preferences are good I guess: MICrophone M audio and Speaker M Audio, when I install the other drivers from m-audio.com I got TBIA error (which I fixed ) and instead these icons that I said before I have like icons RCA cables red and white which is outpouts for monitors and I know it, it so strange it seems that I try recording by RCA outpouts...

You think the card is broken? It dont seems...but again even Skype when I plug mic the mic was silent no sound... But skype found the m audio device..

So you set your hardware preferences in Audition (or whatever you're using) right?

Yes everything is setted, I have M Audio I, M audio O, in Asio4all panel I have Fast Track II usb turn on, even if i choose this and i have in inputs Fast Track I and in outpouts Fast Track O, its not working, the cards its seems its working, I can hear myself when I turn on direct monitor and the jack for headphones is turn on, the guitar knob is off, mic gain about 3 o clock, outpout gain 3 o clock, signal diod is working when Im talking, and even clip if I knob too much mic gain..

Have you installed the M-Audio Drivers from their website here? They're good drivers, I have the same device as you, and it works at 1ms latency on Studio One. :guitar:

Ofcourse I did, now when I hook up m audio and then fast my jack headphones to this device I can hear in headphones the plug sound... But after thiz is silent..

I get the feeling there is a misunderstanding here, of how things get connected. Language is definitely seeming a problem as well. Not necessarily yours, but the terminology we are using to describe what is happening here.

Please list your exact signal chain, as well as what drivers you are using (selected within your DAW). ASIO4All should not even be in this setup whatsoever. The actual driver for your interface is what should be selected.

Yep. ASIO4ALL is only when you can't use anything else.

@hetmano. What's you PC specs? Depending on this, you might need to increase the audio buffer size, done through the M Audio icon in the system tray

Its notebook series wind msi intel atom n455 (1,66ghz) 1 gb ram, 160 gb, windows 7

Yep. Definitely knock the buffer size. Go into the system tray, click the red circle icon, Open M-Audio Fast Track Panel, and push the slider up to 512. If it still isn''t working, put it up more, bit by bit.
