Anyone here ever build a custom desk that can house a Tascam 388 in the center? I feel like I've seen one or two before but my Google searches haven't turned up much. It's something I'm thinking about doing; at the very least, it would be a standard recording desk with a dip in the middle that the 388 could just slide into and fit like a glove. That way if I ever get rid of it or stop using it, I can just remove it and the mid section would hold a computer setup.

dont forget you will need access to the back.
so you either want to be able walk around to the back, or you want your desk to be on large, easy to roll wheels.
lot of patch points in the back.

Now why would you ever want to do that?:p

Haha - I wouldn't, I just want the least-stressful way of keeping the desk useful if the thing craps out or something, aka, not having to dismantle it all...

I'm using an XLR and 1/4" patch panel that connects to my live room and will stay connected to the rear of the 388. Everything else can probably work in a regular patchbay or an RCA patchbay, I just haven't tested it out yet to see if I can have stuff plugged in without it taking out some signal or something (couldn't do this on my M-308 mixer, for example)
