How do I make a cassette shorter?

"Cassette can be an asset"
When people see my ear ring and I tell them it's my wedding ring, they are fascinated. When I tell them all my records and CDs are on cassette and that's all I listen to, they are also fascinated. But not for the same reasons !

Is there a way I can make the deck stop playing at a certain point automatically so that it will only play 1 side for 30 minutes?
If the tapes are C60s, yes. Just press play and leave it. It will stop after 30 minutes.

If it is a C60 tape it will be 30 minutes on each side. My tape recorder can be programed to play a tape up to a certain point, then rewind itself to another certain point, and play again and again. Cassette can sound very good, but only the good machines and tapes. I'm sad that the format has almost died out. Nothing has really replaced it. Most CD players don't record.

Most CD players don't record.
But CD recorders do.
Unfortunately, they're phasing them out before they ever really got going.
I just recently got a rebuilt cassette recorder {as part of a hi fi} so I won't have to worry for a few years. Hopefully.

I have some releases on cassette that sound better in my car than any CDs. Yes, I have a cassette player AND CD player combo in my car! Some cassettes sound like crap though.
