not-so-big muff

Damn!

Been waiting for many days for a big muff to arrive in the mail from amazon. Never used one, heard great things, looking for a new sound...etc.

Just plugged it in and the red light came on and immediately faded out never to return...I guess it must be defective? I tried other batteries and stuff - nothing. The bypass section works, but no sound at all when the effect is activated.

I've never gotten a defective item before let alone had to return something. Rats. I thought these things were built like tanks?

Bummer. It is the standard USA Big Muff PI. I was so excited to see how it worked with my guitar and amp. I've had a few cry babies crap out on me, but only after years of stomping on them. Oh well.

Oh yeah, they're everywhere here. I just happened to have an Amazon gift card left over from Christmas and wanted to use it up. Now I'll find out how great their return policy is.

I hear ya, I'm always apprehensive when buying online. I've returned stuff a few times and it's no big deal if your just replacing something, except it feels like it takes twice as long. I just like the fact that if you buy one locally you can try it out first and if for some reason it does f up on ya when you get home, it takes 15 minutes to go back and get another one that works.

Anyway, best of luck getting one that works.

Thank you. I think ultimately it will be worth it. I have a good feeling about this pedal. It is going to totally make me sound awesome.
