Why do you think those weekend bands never make it?

Why don't they become famous?

You have to be dedicated to your instrument(s) and the band... even through the junk... If you don't have a good story , your band won't make it for the long haul.. even if you get lucky, If you dont have the dedication to your part and the band, it just aint gonna last.
 
Justin Bieber was discovered on Youtube.
25 years ago it was MTV. At least now if you’re good, and lucky it doesn’t take much more than a free video upload to get your foot in the door.
If you are what someone is looking for, you will be found, if not then it wasn’t meant to be.

I can name maybe 20 or so but they all have the same theme.

When I was in the band it was GG Allen and the Jabbers.
But towards the end it was a different name almost weekly to get gigs from being ban almost everywhere.

The reason I only did three shows and called it.

Luckily I didn't ..... the first two shows where relatively tame But the third one was way over the top!

1st show - stopped after 2 1/2 songs due to song lyrics

2nd show - stopped 1/2 way through 1st song as GG was pissing off the back side of the stage.

3rd show - Went all night long for it was a rented hall people would push for more and more and GG would just keep dishing it out.


That's when I made my career changing decision. :eek:

Yes once. Absolutely no grass growing there! - from all of the pee. I didn't have to go when I went. :o
