Lol, I was born in '91, and the first piece of recording equipment I ever used was a Roland multi-tracker. It wasn't mine, but I laid down a few songs on there at a friends. It was the first time I ever heard my own voice, and I hated it haha. But that's what sparked my interest in buying gear of my own. Until then, all I had was my DJ equipment, a guitar, and a composition book with lyrics.

Yeah I've been kind of m.i.a. lately
I finished setting up my "studio" (which I should post pics of). But still haven't got my upgraded my equipment since im trying to save to get it all at once... I also bought 7 nintendo 64's off of ebay. They ate my wallet
So since I haven't been recording, I dont have much to say right now...
But dont worry Ill be back full speed ahead soon enough to annoy you all with more questions
On a related note though, since I haven't been bothering with trying to unwrap the secrets of recording I've been writing a lot. and easier too.
ANYWAY:

was the first thing I started recording parts on.
Then that a few months later. I still use it tons and am using it currently whilst writing.
The quality when I recorded my band live sounded perfect. It's too easy to use. It made me feel like recording would be a breeze...
then I learned about multitrack recording and that albums weren't recorded live, and I bought this
and my recordings didnt sound like records i listened to at all
But I've been learning. slowly but surely and am finally diving into to cubase soon.
