Hi

Just thought i'd introduce myself as i hope to use this board quiet a bit, looks great.

My names Sam, play bass and well, im looking to start recording. Mainly because ive been playing alot of Dubstep,Drum n bass and hiphop style music all mixed together and we want to record it all as we go, cause alot of its improvised.

Im also on ultimate-guitar and basschat.

Thanks
Sam H

P.S, any thoughts on a line 6 ux8 if i can the damn thing to buy. Ive been looking for a 8 input usb interface and this seems to fit the bill. Any good?

P.P.S anyway to load your own avaters. Cant work it out for the life of me.

Howdy Sam

I think you need to have at least 5 post under your belt to do some of the cool things like avatar, post links etc.

Welcome aboard!

Hi Sam - welcome to HR

The line 6 has good specs but I have never used any of their recording gear so not sure about quality.

There's the upsude and the downside of the Line6 unit.
Upside- The preamps are pretty good, a wide range of FX is included. In its price range, for what it is, it's an excellent unit.
downside-Line6 is a criminal tong that doesn't support their older equipment, and they can be real pricks to deal with.

God help me, I use some Line6 stuff, because it works for what I want it to do. And- their interfaces are pretty good for the money.

Hmm, im running a windows 7 64 bit laptop. So if its not up to date maybe not. I think they might be re-issueing it what with toneport being the older name.
