Any thoughts on the rest of the audio? There's a bit of background noise, which may be coming from my LXP-1 reverb unit. I have the Dolby NR on during recording and playback on the TSR-8.

Yeah, it did come across a bit noisy. I was going to ask if DBX was enabled. Apart from that and the digital dropouts, I can't really see any problems with it.

I would like to post my songs but apparently

"You are only allowed to post URLs to other sites after you have made 5 posts or more."

It seems a bit counterproductive and anal to me.

I assume it's there to keep away spammers, which I'm all for, spam ruins sites like this, but hey, you're at five posts now, so post those links sir!

I am a reverb junky, I admit. I have another one I will post with much less reverb (=

I just recorded this last weekend with an 8 track. It was a bit of a challenge trying to get the full drum kit, an acoustic guitar, an electric, 3 vocalists, a violinist, and to top it all off... they wanted to do it live.

And I've never had so much fun in a recording session

I love that snare sound!

Are you in the Dallas area?

Hey, I just got the masters back on a couple singles I produced and recorded for my band the Lesser Known Characters. I recorded it on a tascam 388. We pretty much stayed away from computers until mixing, where i just brought up the levels to the right volume.

Very nice brother!!!! I'm listening on some Yamaha Cans and it's sounds great!!!! I can see where the previous poster is coming from with the 'verb but I also really like the sound of it. Very cool.

thanks, actually just send me your address and i'll send you a couple free copies (thanks for your support!) ... in fact, i will send out a free copy to any analog-only forum member, just send us your mailing address via this forum or trounrecords@gmail.com

I sent you a PM, just in case it doesn't tell you. Incidentally I noticed that Magic Hero is briefly mentioned on the mellotron page on Wikipedia...

yeh, i got it; you're first in line! ha, that's cool about the mellotron. i noticed we were listed on a mellotron site somewhere too. ironically, we haven't really been using it at all lately, i think it's only on 2 tracks on 'odd zen ends'. i've been doing more layering of acoustic instruments ... we used live players for violins, flute and vibes. i also used the RMI rocksichord for a bunch of stuff.

Hello all,

So here is the next Beatles cover I'm doing for an EP of their stuff. Following the link below will take you to my soundcloud page where i have another cover tune "I'm Only Sleeping" that you can check out too. I hope you all enjoy the way i flipped it into a hitting rock joint ;) All instruments engineered by me at my loft in Brooklyn. This has always been a fave of mine and i tried for a Nirvana-ish type rhythm section and gtr thing. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Bump it, break it down, tear it apart or whatever tickles your fancy.

Enjoy,
St Christopher
