ADD -- blessing and curse
I've got a Telecaster that needs a screw for the saddle (the adjustable one on the bridge). What size screw is that? I tried looking up an entire bridge assembly on Google, and they're like $50 or so, last time I looked. I just need the one screw.

Sorry, MJR, you're screwed. Ha ha.

It's like trying to find a washer for that hard-to-find faucet in the kitchen that's been leaking for the last year. Blink, and you've just spent $20,000 on a kitchen remodel. :D

Seriously - I think you can get the bits and pieces from Stewmac. If not, just head on down to the nearest decent-sized music store that does repairs, and they'll probably find something that fits.

Yeah...that's what I was afraid of. I'll check Stewmac and see...but other than that, I had hoped I wouldn't have to buy a whole new bridge assembly.

You can buy all the parts and screws for fender bridges separately (or in packs of 4, 5, 6) you don't need to buy the whole thing. What particular screw is it?

Hey thanks for the head's up, muttley.

It's just one of the saddle screws. Where you can adjust the string's length. You know the one I'm talking about.

The screws that go here:

Where could I buy them? Fender's site?

Just google fender saddle screws. I'm in the UK so not much use to you. Many places carry them. I always call to make sure they are the right ones for the instrument/bridge age and model.

Oh, I assumed he was referring to the small set screws.
