zip disk recovery

hi there,i have a boss br-8 recoder and i accidently initilized a zip disk and lost some song /data..my friend has recovery software and it seems to work on everything but the songs..it found data from years ago{as it was a used disk}..and it did find songs i put on it from the' post ' accidental intilization {.vr8's}...but it cant find {.vr8's} from pre- initilization {the data ,songs i need}...anyone know why or a better recovery software suited for me?

and it did find songs i put on it from the' post ' accidental intilization {.vr8's}...

If you used the disk post-initialization, then it may have overwritten the data you are looking for and there will not be anyway to recover it. If the data has been overwritten, it is gone.
