Set a left input as the a right input too

Yes but i also want it to be a stereo recording. Idk how this is not possible with 1 mic with a box that cost me $300 but is possible another box that cost me $65

It's not possible with either boxes.

Go back and read what everyone has been telling you in this thread. You can't get stereo from a mono source. And I'll say it again, this has nothing to do with your boxes, interface, asio drivers... it's all about what kind of track you created in your DAW; mono v stereo. One mic... create a mono track, it will come out both speakers.

Now that's the problem. My Tascam US-100 has 1 xlr mic input and when i plug my mic into it, i get a stereo recording. Refer to the tascam US-100 image. You can see that it is set as USB Audio Codec 1 & 2. And when i tapped my mic you can see the left and right input volume go up.

It's still not stereo. One mic = MONO. It's just coming out both speakers, but still mono. I failed to write that in my last serious post.

In your DAW, create one MONO track and assign it to whatever channel your mic is plugged into. It will come out both speakers, but it is still mono. Both speakers are producing the very same signal. That is mono regardless of how many speakers it comes out.

You don't get it... THAT's NOT STEREO!!!!!! IT'S MONO!!!! just coming out 2 channels - USB Audio Codec 1 and USB Audio Codec 2. But still MONO.

Maybe the reason it's assigned to both channels is because you're using ASIO4All, which is a band-aid at best. It's meant to allow built-in soundcards to be used as an ASIO driver to DAW's. It's basically a hacker's tool.

Just do what we've been telling you all along and you'll be fine. When you create a track in Cubase, it asks you if you want it to be Stereo or Mono, if you have one mic, then you select Mono. It can't be easier.

Dude, don't be so stubborn, you seriously need to listen to others when they are trying to explain this to you. Your Tascam is NOT giving you a stereo signal. It's mono through 2 channels... the same signal going out 2 channels... that doesn't make it stereo, just mono, twice. This is the last time I'm saying it to ya. To have stereo, you've got to have 2 mics, not one.

YOU CANNOT GET STEREO FROM ONE INPUT!!!!!

So, you want to get your mic'd recording (I'm assuming vocals) to come out both speakers when you play it back on the saffire. Record it as a mono track and it will come out both speakers.
