I've just bought some Alesis Monitor One Mk2 speakers,
and I'm wondering, how do I connect these to my computer?
I heard that I had to connect them to my interface or something, but idk, I'm not sure.

I also heard I couldn't connect it from a 12-14 gauge speaker wire to my laptop through USB or the Headphone Jack or Line In, because it'll make my computer extremely hot? I dunno'. Any ideas?

You don't connect them to your computer.

You don't connect them with speaker wire.

They are powered speakers.

You connect them using cables from your interface output to the speaker inputs. By the look of the speakers you would need balanced (TRS) or unbalanced (TS) 1/4" jacks.

Monitor One MKII's or M1Active MKII's? Monitor One MkII's are passive. You'll need an amplifier between the speakers and the computer (with the speakers connected to the amp and the amp connected to the computer as Gecko says) if you've got those. If they are M1Active MKII's then they are directly connected to the computer without an amplifier, also as Gecko says.

yeah, they're Monitor One MK2's.
and I have a Lexicon Omega interface.
so, I connect the monitors to what hole on the Lexicon Omega?

Here's my interface: http://blog.mrsoft.cz/wp-content/lexicon_omega.jpg

Here's my speakers: https://media.photobucket.com/image/Alesis%20Monitor%20One%20Mk2/adi_tanjung/P1070837.jpg

If that's the picture of your monitors, then you have the passive monitors. As jedblue says, you need an amplifier to drive them.

You need to go from the output (line out) of the Omega into an amplifier, then from the speaker out of the amplifier into the MK2s. So you have one more bit of equipment to get: an amplifier.
