Sounds like dammage control...after all you led people here to believe you were him for about 5 months...your scam is unraveling Muttley...people know better...you might as well fess up.

:laughings::laughings::laughings:

This is gonna be good. I've dropped him an email to say high again and hopefully he'll reply here soon. In the meantime. Here are his comments on me using his article as a point of reference often in the past.

Say Hi to PARAGLIDER who's blog darrin reckons I plagiarized.:laughings::laughings::laughings:

Somehow I knew you couldnt handle me on your own...you have to run and get help...Im in a wheelchair after all...what a pussy you must be Muttley:rolleyes:

Yea cos not being in a wheelchair is a huge advantage in a message board argument ain't it dude.

And from the same thread here is my reply to a request to me.

Hey Paraglider, I did look over those articles you sent me. I've been snowed under recently so haven't had a chance to add comments. They look good to me I was just going to add a few interesting technical bits that may shed some light on the subject material. I'll get round to it soon. I'm solid in the workshop for the next few weeks but when I've cleared my back log I'll get on it. The general info in all of them is sound and well presented. It's refreshing to see info from someone who has a solid grounding in the subject and it's wider applications and implications. Keep up the good work.

and his response.

Great thanks, and always welcome. I've added another on the Cycle of Fifths, again from a guitarists perspective.

Anyone looking for a really authoritative reference on music theory could do no better than consult Dolmetsch Online - yes, the recorder makers! But their site is a treasure trove of music theory & history. E.g. try this article on tuning:

Definitely sounds as if we are copying stealing each others work to me.:laughings::laughings:

Hey I can't help it if people want to tell you to stfu because you are a cock. What say you we take it to the cave and have at it there. I'll give you a few hours head start so you can drum up some support.:laughings:

Wow, this hurts to read.

Darrin, you're stretching, man. You really seemed to be trying to not be a cock for a bit after your suspension ended, but man, you're just embarrassing yourself here.

Accusing Muttley of plagarizing, and as proof pointing to a page which, as it turns out, was one of the sources he cited? Accusing him of pretending to be the guy who wrote the blog, when as it turns out the blogger was another member here, and obviously someone Muttley knows?

Let's cut to the chase, man. What's your agenda here? What are you trying to accomplish?

Mutt's a bit brisk at times, sure, but he's a very knowledgeable guy and is very willing to lend a hand or offer the occasional suggestion. Trying to demean him isn't going to make you magically look better by comparison.

Funny...I dont see HIM posting...just some quotes anyone can manipulate.

You could have just faked a new membership using another email...if you were thinking creatively...but I wouldnt put it past you if it was your next move.

This, meanwhile, is typical of your "advice"

Alot of modelers have some shortcomings...but I really like being able to hit a foot switch and change the sound without picking up another guitar or hooking up another amp...the variax and the Pod X3 live rock.

Line6 is the answer to $5000 and a bad back...a storage garage...etc

You guys might as well embrace the future...the days of taping a coil to a piece of driftwood are past...lol.

As has been mentioned here before on occasion the traditional escape route from a hole is to stop digging. You can of course choose to tunnel your way out but it may not work out as well for you. Your call.

Cheers Drew, :laughings:

Yeh I can be a bit brisk at times but think of it as a public service protecting you guys from idiots and douchbags..:D

Hey, I think the first time I had any interaction with you was butting heads over Elixirs (I use them because they sound decent and last forever, and since I don't play much acoustic I'd rather not restring every time I pick up a guitar; you don't because traditional strings sound measurably better, IIRC) but at the end of the day you steered me to the Daddario phosphor bronze coated strings as a less bad alternative (still haven't tried them - I've got a stack of Elixirs to go through first) and weren't personally insulting, and I kind of respect you for that. :laughings:

Darrin, well, different story. :/

Ahh I won't go all all nazi over strings, strings are a preference thing. As long as they work thats fine. The only exception is the same as always and that is if people make outrageous claims that are just misleading or downright false, then I'll step in.

I don't like coated strings myself but they work so it's not a problem. As you know I rarely comment on preference stuff. You've never made dumb statements or challenge fact so why would I go all crazy man on yo ass.:D

When it comes right down to it we are both kinda stubborn...but if I see a link from say a company that has done 20+ years of research or a 160+ yo guitar company...Ill admit that Ive learned something and walk away.

you have been faced with that sort of thing in multiple threads and take the stance that you are right and all of those companies are wrong...those companies are right...thats why they are global successes and we are just posting on the internet.

Getting personal and starting threads about me not being able to walk was just your way of dealing with it...

instead of just posting your own links proving yourself like any other member could have done...if such links exist...if it doesnt...you have to admit you are wrong.

That is the real problem I have with you.

Ill even campaign to try to get Legion back...he said something in the heat of the moment and I know what that is like.

Used elixirs before...kinda sounded like old strings to me...but I thought it was a cool concept.

I may have gone all crazy young man on your ass - I don't recall. I think we quickly realized we were sort of on the same page, though.

Darrin - Nanoweb or Polyweb? The first ones were the Polywebs, which had a much thicker coat - the Nanowebs are much better. I'd say they don't QUITE sound new, but they sound, right out of the box, like a set of strings with no more than a couple hours of play on them, and they stay there pretty much forever.

I sold an Ibanez RG1527 to a buddy of mine a bit over a year ago. He brought it down for a setup over the weekend, and it STILL had the Elixirs on it I'd put on when I owned it - keep in mind that they had a couple months of wear before I even sold him the guitar, so they were something like 18 months old by that point. They still sounded tolerable - not new, but not really that dead, either. :laughings:

Not to spoil all the fun - and there's alot of it here! :laughings: - but somewhere at the heart of this is a n00b who wants his first electric.

On that note, I suggest the most entry-level Yamaha; I'm pretty sure they do a model below the 112 Pacifica. Great sounds and playability.

Carry on!

Eh? I though it was a distortion pedal he was looking for.

That sounds much more reasonable, you should go ahead and apologize to muttley for the family stuff and call it a done deal.

I did...and he forgave me in open forum...he just went back on it...he still owes me an apology too...after all, he did start it all...and escalated it...like he is trying to do here.
