Double the kick

When you say double the kick, am I processing the doubled track differently? If I just double it aren't I just adding volume?

Sorry the NOOB is just trying to cover all the basis

thnx for the input

Lol. Don't listen to him. Doubling the kick is an old inside joke in here and it does nothing but make the kick louder.

mixing

It's great to see the care you are putting into getting a great drum sound! You know, I wouldn't mind taking a stab at mixing this record. I just commissioned a new console and I'm dying to try it (free of charge of course)!
I'd start by doubling the kick! :laughings:
Of course I'd want to hear your mix too. I'm just always curious to hear how other folks tracking sounds on my gear. :)

We still have a little ways to go on the recording but we are on the back end of it. I think hearing a second mix would probably be a great learning tool for me, and I'm sure the guys would like to hear a different mix as well. If you want to give the tracks a test run on your gear, I can probably put something together.
