Hey guys. Looking for something that'd keep pace with an acoustic kit, would record reasonably via D.I output and comes in at around $500. No idea where to even start looking, especially when it comes to wattage...any advice would be great.

When you say acoustic kit, I'm assuming that you're referring to drums, but I know that you guys sometimes say 'kit' where we would say 'gear', so maybe you just mean an acoustic band.

Is there a reason it has to be a combo? A small head and small cab might be easier to lug around.

If you want to go really cheap, find a used Fender Frontman 25B. It has 25 watts, active 3-way EQ, and direct out. Do what you want with the $400-450 you saved...

Sorry, yeah, acoustic drums! Well, the combo thing was driven primarily by my ignorance of all things loudspeaker, but if you could suggest a head and cab for under Eur500/$700, go for it!

Hiya, thanks for the tip. I should've said that used really isn't an option, as the second-hand market for audio gear is pretty small here.
