And find a use for all the Behringer kit you've got lying about....

Here is a remote drive...

CIMG2009.jpg

It is connected to this old IBM PIII laptop...

CIMG2010.jpg

Which is holds media files of all my cd's and stuff and is connected to this sound blaster thingo...

CIMG2011.jpg

Which is connected to this old Berri mixer...

CIMG2012.jpg

Which also has created a use for a microphone that can only be described as total shit...

CIMG2013.jpg

And the output of it all goes to this peak limiter / headphone amp stuff..

CIMG2014.jpg

And then down to this 'temporarliy located' Part 15 FM microtransmitter on the floor away from the rest of the electronics...

CIMG2015.jpg

and then down the BNC co-ax cable to this temporarily located whip antenna (which will soon be on the peak of the roof)...

CIMG2017.jpg

Whereupon it transmits whatever I want it to with a range of 100 yards or so in either direction, on 89.5fm...

CIMG2022.jpg

Or maybe up to a mile radius with one of these soon to be installed jobbies..

fmanttun4.jpg

Whereupon they are all about to be subjected to the excellent Bob Log III's "My Shit Is Perfect"...

CIMG2019.jpg

Or I can connect it to my recorder output through this monitor matrix thing and drive them nuts with endless remixes of my own recordings..

Surely I'm not alone with one of these round here?

Now where's that Scotch bottle...

:)

I really like this thread a lot!

Always wanted my own radio station....

Isn't this illegal to broadcast without a licence?
Pump up the Volume!!!

I thought you could get a really minimal broadcasting license to give you up to like 500 watts or something like that.... I really want to have an internet radio show someday.

the "microphone that can only be described as total shit..." looks a lot like a 421n

what is it?

I like Sennhesiers. I have a couple, an e609 and and nice old MD21. I'd like at least one 421 for bass cabinet miking. The mike in the picture is a Behringer C1. It was bought as a cheap announcers condensor for the little radio station. When I plugged it in, powered it up and listen to it hissing and sparkling away there I thought to myself "my, what a piece of shit". I still do

Got same thing almost but will post pics when I get them so you can see my signal chain from source to transmitter.

It has been running now for 5.5 years now :D
