Good mix Wig. The panning is a good idea with the few instruments - it gives a wider image to the accompanyment. The horns are cool with the slight vibrato at the end....

Another great song, Wig.
Only thing that disturbs me a bit is the snare. It sounds very aggressive compared to the rest, it's got a lot of bottom sound too. I would go for a less wetter one. Don't know about having the bass on just one side, not that it makes the mix sound bad, though. But that's my taste, I guess....
Lyrics are wonderful, mix is nice and clear and I'm a fan of your voice.

I wasn't sure how to place the instruments. I recorded the wet guitar and bass and they ended up on one side so I recorded another bass track panned really hard opposite.

I'll take a look at the snare. I can tune it with SD2 and tame the verb.

The bass ended up on one side by accident. First time I remember doing that. I know it's supposed to be down the middle. I might record another track of it on the opposite side and leave the middle open for the vox and trumpet.

Glad you like the lyrics. I've gotten some very kind comments about them.

Thanks, Joe,

I know the bass should traditionally be right down the middle. I recorded the bass and guitar on one track, sound on sound and they were on the same side, so I recorded another bass track way over on the other side and that one is dominant.

I'll take a look at the snare. I can tune it with Session Drummer 2 and tame down the reberb.
