Surprisingly, the two books I purchased and PT Help itself does not explain exactly how to manipulate and edit volume throughout a track. This defies all logic how such elementary instruction could be absent, but oh well.
Basically in the middle of a track I want the volume to go down to a certain level, then several seconds later, go back up to the original level. I want it to be precise. How is this done? At an anchor point, the volume is one number, then seconds later it's different, I know it's simple stuff but it's still not easy to figure out.
I would like to change the volume of a track in different regions. The only way I know how is to use the hand tool and click a point in the track to make an anchor point, and drag the volume up or down. But if I send the marker to the beginning of the track, set the volume at "0". Click a point a few seconds in and the volume has changed. I don't get it. There's an anchor point in the beginning, then at the spot where it starts to fade. I'm blabbering but it's just not easy to figure out exactly.
thx.
