Alright...we'll keep an eye on his chiclets, and if they turn green again, we'll shoot 'em back down.

Vindictive? Maybe... But that's what rep is for. To give others who don't know the poster an idea of whether or not he/she offers anything constructive. This guy doesn't.
Would y'all like me to shoot him up again....just so you can have the fun in shooting him back down?:eek::D

Greeting to everybody, by the way, inviting to any person interested to check my new article..Zaragemca's Ph.D. on Guaguanco...Available on the internet...Dr. Zaragemca

I went looking and couldn't find anything!

I want solid proof you have a Ph.D. from an accredited school! Until then my bullshit meter's needle is PEGGED!!!

Post a link you fraud!

Alright, I'm calling complete bullshit on this guy.

They don't GIVE Ph.D.'s for percussion only! You have to get a doctorate in Music theory or any field that INCLUDES percussion, as well as wind and string instruments, but as far as I can find there are NO "Doctors of percussion" anywhere in the world! This would be like "Dr. of flute" or "Dr. in Flamenco Guitar"....IT JUST DOESN'T HAPPEN!

I'll keep my research going, because I hate being wrong, but so far this may be a subject for MythBusters!

CHARACTER: Brad Goodman, a self-help guru who’s convinced that Bart holds the secret to Springfield’s emotional well-being.
EPISODE: “Bart’s Inner Child” (Season 5)

Brad Goodman: Folks, I'm often asked about my qualifications. Well, I may not have a lot of "credentials" or "training", but I tell you one thing: I'm a Ph.D. in pain. Now let me show you how you can change your life. (Walks up to a blackboard, draws a circle) Troy, this circle is you.

Troy McClure: My God, it's like you've known me all my life!
..........

sure they do... typicly performance degrees are for a specific instruments... but then to get a phd in one you'ld need to show that you have advanced the knowledge in some appreciable way... so pretty unlikely...

Thanks! At least we're narrowing down the possibility.

Still can't get him to give a straight answer to the question. He's never even listed one school he attended.

I'm not defending a possible imposter..............but

In working towards a graduate degree, you are definitely allowed to specialize. Your master or doctorate degree may be in "musicology" or "ethnomusicology" and then within that there may be a specific specialization in percussion or winds or a specific period, but the degree is in "musicology". I believe that as a performance artist the terminal degree is an MFA, but that may have changed in the many years that have past since I got my degrees. Therefore it is quite possible to receive a Ph.D. (or in England and most of Europe it is called a D.Ph) for musicology (or ethnomusicology) with a concentration on percussion instruments.
I will be very surprised if our "doctor" has earned such a degree. There are places that you can go "on-line" and pay them a certain fee and they will print up a diploma and you can just put anything on it that you want............... but it's only worth the paper it's written on.

AaaaaaaarrrrGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

This "Dr. Z" is just infuriating!

I found the "articles" as he calls them on his "Ph.D." but the website never pops up! Too busy or something, but I found the cached pages on Google.

LINK

He's giving a history lesson on Cuba and percussion.

THAT'S ALL!

And somehow he feels that because of his knowledge of the subject he deserves the title! Still no mention of schooling, or a degree. He's obviously bestowed the title on himself honorarily.

Complete fraud!

Proof!!!

Straight from the horse's mouth:

"Clave I don't need a Ph.D....I got more than that, becouse this is from my ancestors the one which brought it from Africa, to me,(I didn't have to go to any University),and not University could give me the true and unconditional knowledge which their trusted on me, also the evolution of the Afrocuban percussion patterns,(from the African Patterns),took place in Cuba,..not inside any University... thanks.Dr. Zaragemca"

No school! No University! No degree!

Mystery solved!

YAAAAAAAY!!! We have evidence!! Where is he to attempt to refute it?! I can't wait to see the show!

Man, that's a ton of exclamation points.
