Just a little jam to get some recording time in. Its called "Worm Hole". Kind of simple, but fun. Was done in a few hours, so I didnt have much time to mix it. Let me know what it needs. I think the bass drum and snare are too loud. But it may be Im tired. Next tune will be a cover and its time to pick a complicated one. Here is the link.

I like it. The only couple of things that i find is that the drums have too much verb. They could have a tiny little less, not much less. The other thing is the guitar. Is it an amp sim? Sounds a little hash, like it needed some balls. Otherwise a fun tune to listen to.

Amp is actually a Peavey Stereo Chorus. Its older than dirt and of course is solid state. I actually used two mics on it with the built in chorus turned on. I had never used that amp before to record and said what the hell. The tone is kind of scooped and does have that early 80's built in distortion (harsh). But that amp sounds amazing on clean, and works very well with electric acoustics. The bass guitar is ran through my Boss GT8 (I used some crunch/chorus preset) then into my mixer. I know they have a Boss GT for bass guitars and said what the heck, I'll try the guitar one. Im gonna explore that more. The lead guitars and harmonic sounds were the GT8. Drums I can back off the verb. Its another little jam to build on at some point. I need to re-record the rythm guitar parts again, trying out the Windsor/5150 cab, I snagged a few months ago. I have not tried it either. Anyway thanks for the listen.

A fine recording. Pretty simple to begin with, but it does go a few different places as it moves along. I really like the bass sound. Found the guitars to be really thin sounding at first, but they kind of grew on me and actually sounded pretty sweet with the wah. I agree that the drums are more verbed out than the other instruments would seem to require.

Thanks. Yea the tone is a love, hate type thing. That amp was more of a country type amp. It has 2 12" scorpion speakers and its an open back design. The bass sounds nice. Im gonna go through all the presets on the GT8 and see which work well with a bass. Thanks again.
