You would plug the magma chassis into the PCI slot that you have. The magma has a bunch of PCI slots. It's kind of like a power strip, only for PCI slots.

Yeah, it's called a PCI expansion chassis. Takes one PCI slot and gives you usually 7 or 13 more.......

I got a non rack one for 75 bucks, but I never saw a rack version go for less than 300
 
I t6hink I paid something like $900 for mine, but it came with 2 UAD cards. So, I figure about $250-300 for the Chassis.

If you buy one, there are two differnt "generations" - the new one is upgradable to have the host card (The one that goes in your computer and connects the chassis to it) can be upraged from PCI to PCIe. Mine cannot, so I had to find a motherboard with PCI slots on it as well. Not a big deal now, but soon may be.
