I quite like the pink and purple ones. I think almost anything would look pretty good though, as long as it wasn't a SOLID colour.
 
Red, Green, Orange heck they actually all look good, I like the white the least (thinking how it will look in my racks)
 
Wow whitestrat, they look amazing.

I definately prefer the "metal" look rather than a "gloss" look, if that makes sense.

The Red is very nice, but the Orange has a lot of character and its pretty original. I also like the blue and teal, and suprisingly, the pink!

Those really do all look good, whitestrat - you should have made the one that's your favorite color look good, and the rest look shabby :)

Let me join the small gaggle of posters calling for a brighter orange - like a yellow orange or "tangerine" (which would make it a "tangerine preamp" - sounds good, too?)
 
the white would be cool with some pearl in it.

The orange is great the way it is, but it would need to be a metallic in my opinion. A brighter orange metallic would be o.k. too though.
 
Okay, bright orange (tangerine, yellow orange, etc) is up. It's first, on top of the older, darker orange.

The only anodized color I don't like is the Bright Orange.
I do like the idea of White Gloss Enamel.
 
Whitestrat, you have done a great job with photoshop!!

How bout adding another color for the labeling than black to see what that looks like. Now it is white background with black labels, I'm thinking something like red or blue labeling to add some color. I have an A Designs pre that is a totally different color from other pres, but looks really cool.
 
Okay, for variety's sake, one last option posted. White w/red labeling. Its right above the old white one (w/the black labeling).
 
It's not a problem for me. I'm just afraid all the options will make choosing a color that much more difficult. Getting to choose is cool, but we shouldn't slow it down trying to reach a broad consensus.

So what's your favorite, Chance?

For the record, because of monitor differences we're all seeing the colors a little differently. Also, whatever chance sends the Chinese will be translated differently into reality, unless they send him a sample faceplate for review and changes. Timewise, that would not be acceptabe to me.

Probably the most faithfull reproduction would be one of the white ones.

Any would be OK with me, as long as there's no holdup because of color selection. I've been to home furnishings departments too many times with my wife to have to deal with that shit again. :)

Well, I'm not a group buyer, and my taste is otherwise suspect as I am the proud owner of a Fender So-Cal and an Epiphone Airscreamer, but I really like the pink & black! Add some chrome, and I might buy it!




PS I was pleased to see no B.S. detailed specs that pretty clearly are accurate.

I think I like white ( Enamel or anodized ) most, still -good for my oldish eyes
in the dimm lighted studio.

FWIW--after playing around in Photoshop making all the color versions that I made, I think I like the white as well. Kinda understated and classy.

And between my studio and my live rig, I have 36 rack spaces--not one of them are white. Lots of grey, black and silver, but no white. I think it would stand out nicely...
