Hi Guys, in case somebody has any interest in that area.
I have couple DIY projects 'published':
ANALOG SEQUENTIAL CONTROLLER
, which followed the earlier project: HERE is THE PAGE
********
I also have analog drum/rhythm/sound-effect synth project in progress, but it will take a while, it's mostly on paper and on breadboards now, so ..you know.

here's the machine :)

Nice work, interesting concept compared to the usual control voltage synths. I forwarded the link to the Synth-DIY mailing list because we love stuff like this. :D

Daniel and MD! Thanks a bunch , guys! You are the best :)

S7, Mike? :)
Thank you for checking it out. Yeah, the "concept" ..heh heh is a tough one for me. It all came out as consequence of chain of experiments, in the style of "try and pick what works". I am pretty sure that there are better ways and , say right ways, to to things, but in my case, I was starting from somewhat simple experiments for fun and then later I've decided to try to make something more serious and ended up in rather strange hybrid situation.
Hey, after all, maybe Integrated Sequential Port will become an industry standard some day? ..heh heh :p:D:o

Looks brilliant.. though I have no idea what a sequencer does.:o:D

What kind of Teac two track is that Mike?

Steve, the sequencer in orderly fashion 'spits out' voltage(s) of certain forms which makes a synthesizer play something :)
Teac is A-4300SX, which actually does nothing there, heh heh, but since it's on the same shelf I've employed it for a visual effect. :D

Yes Mike here. I was just discussing something similar with another list member last week off-list - the whole idea that building your own instrument allows you to make it your own. There is no wrong or right way to do that. Just your way.

IMO strange hybrid stuff is great! Your machine looks great, you obviously put a great deal of work into it. I suspect now you'll have at least a year of learning how to use it to it's full potential. I have always marveled over the situation where you finish an instrument of your own design only to find you have to learn how to use it despite the fact. ;)

I'll study that Sequential port some more, it may hold promise for other DIYers. The fact that rusty ole 32Khz Midi is still a standard leaves me doubtful electronic music will ever get any more useful standards. :D

Huh! Isn't that so true! I now can only wonder and fantasize about what can I 'control' with up to 32 step 0 to 100K resistance sequencer :D Where ever I can 'insert' a resistor, I guess :p

oh no ... :o , it's a sort of joke. All it is just 5pin DIN to combine Vc, Gate, triggers outputs and sequenced resistance in one jack. I did it to connect that special meter unit, so I can check/monitor outputs of the machine, but then I thought maybe there's something to it .... I have to think about it

Awesome, ZEE!

You’re a talented fellow and a much-appreciated member of the forum.

Thank You, Sir.
Yes, Sir, I can spin.
And I shall spin, just give me something bloody to spin.
:D:D:D

some primitive electric grooves sound samples here: mp3s on this page

ps,
sampling analog synth is an ugly business and waste of HD space, but that's what we do anyway, so... :D, I mean -
