Source for Rigid Fiberglass in Kansas City?

Does anyone in the Kansas City metro area have any experience schmoozing a contractor/supplier out of a few panels of rigid fiberglass? I am having a horrible time trying to find any. The lumber yard where I get stuff for instruments and amps doesn't stock any; Owens-Corning customer service won't help me at all ("Get a yellow pages and find a contractor.") -?

At this point I've got an hour sunk into phone calls with absolutely no payoff. Anyone in KC have a contact they are willing to share?
 
Just made another brutal 13 hour round trip to Portland, Or., to pick up these. I was suprised to find they came in 2", 3", and 4" thick, 3lb, in sheets FOUR ft x TEN ft long:eek: YEAAAAAAAA! This is all I could afford and fit into my truck. What a trip back. This cost $681. Plus the trip. Now for my treatment. Its about freaking time.:rolleyes::D Got it from SPI in Portland.

Have you checked out a place called Menard's in Saint Joseph?
They have a larger stock of different building supplies than Lowe's and Home Depot combined.
Their prices are better and the customer service is fantastic. If they don't stock it, they will order it if you can provide a manufacturer's name.

Check them out. It's right by the interstate at the southern edge of town so you can't miss it.
 
SPI has it. Just call them. Ethan gave the link. Cool people, decent pricing, and they cater very well to small orders to medium sized orders.
 
Rigid acoustical fiberglass panels can usually be found at mechanical insulation supply houses. You may look under "Insulation materials - cold & heat" or HVAC supply houses.
You want 3 lb., 4.25 lb. or 6 lb. density per cubic foot.
The size is normally 2' x4' and available in 1-4" thickness.
You can also utize duct board which is normally in 4' x10' sheets.
FSK faced materials can be utilized if the facing is not directed opposite the sound source.
