new or old ts9? or modded?

i should have a new ts9 soon.

weird, all the maxons and ibanez 808, all sold out! even the modders sites are out of them

so i'll check this one out for a bit and if i hate it i'll send it in to be modded or try some others, or return it if it totally sucks, but i doubt that...

i kinda liked the clips i heard of the Rat2, also cheap.

Here's some clips of my Keeley modded TS-9, Maxon OD-820 and a Voodoo Labs Sparkledrive, which is basically a tubescreamer.

i still have a TS-9 i got for christmas when i was 17. 99.9% of the time it's been the only pedal i've used aside from the occasional compressor or wah.
i couldn't imagine doing without it.

highly recommended.

My TS9 died (footswitch went out), so I went to get another one and ended up buying the Turbo model. It's basically a normal TS9 with three more stages of boost. I love it - I set it in normal mode for the humbuckers, and then just click it up a gear for the single-coils. It was about $12 more than a standard TS9.

Barber Direct Drive, is sometimes referred to as the 'tube screamer killer'

consider this one, if you want to step that effects game up........

who knew a solid state little chip could actually sound good!?

Great soundclick site!!! I totally dug the tone on the BF Princeton.

Thanks Flamin Lip, I really enjoy recording clips of Vintage Fender amps. I know alot of older guys like me grew up with them, and I like to have some reference for those who are searching for these classic tones.:D

I have been playing through a Tube Screamer TS5. I dont really like the overall tone at all. I mean I can make it sound pretty warm or crunchy but the way it distorts isn't my favorite. Then again I am playing through crappy guitars nor do I have the exact pedals youre talking about. Maybe you could make some sort of use of this crap I'm saying. I'll leave now. Sorry.
