How many/much guitar effects do you use on a regular basis??

it has been my experience that most pedals SUCK your real tube tone out the window. i use a maxon analog delay for special occasions.

    Anyone use Vox? AC30CCH ?

I have an AC30CC2 and its the sweet sounds of the 60s with my rics and gretschs. its a great sounding amp. clean and top boost. when i got it did have a bad preamp tube which caused a clicking sound but that was fixed under warranty. the amp has been perfect ever since.

    acurate bass tabs online

im trying out for a classic rock cover band and i need to learn 5 songs quickly. i can learn by ear most of the tunes but some of the fills in certain songs are a little tricky. the band apparently prides themselves on acuracy. songs i need to learn: 1. Is it just me?

In MY experience pedals (even the most respected ones) have only robbed my tone. The only effect I use is whats in my amp which is reverb or tremolo. Good guitar + Good tube amp + good playing = ALL YOU NEED

Which bass for recording that modern deep tone all rockers use today? (Nickelback...)

ahuimanu is correct. i huge part of the bass sounding so good is how it sits in the mix in relation to the other instruments. if the guitar sound (which you apparently dont care for) was different the bass would probably sound a lot different on the recording too.

well, if u have the cash i definitely recomend the 1974x 18 watt combo. i have it in my pic on top of the extension cabinet. they go for about $2299 its pure marshall tone ESPECIALLY with your LP standard. perfect volume for a studio too. no stompboxes required :)

Just go to the local Guitar Center or where ever and try a bunch of guitars out. In my opinion you cant go wrong with the Standard. It will hold its value better than the Classic. The Standard has great pickups and finishes too. The Standard is the real deal. Heres mine:
