Now I have both, and think the cards in both of them are great. But do you think I'd get a better "sound" running my fast track through the e-mu instead of via usb? so basically what I'm asking is, do you guys think the e-mu has better cards than the fast track ultra?

Everytime I record guitars like that it comes out with alot of ground noise and static. Is my fast track ultra compatible enough to run a guitar through? or could it be maybe cables? Any suggestions to get a clean sound through this interface?

I went to "properties-my computer" to change the audio device, but m-audio fast track was not an option.. Everything is hooked up properly, but I'm not getting any playback from my monitors... Anyone know how my pc can recognize my m-audio?
