I'm looking for info regarding the sound of these mics. How does the B-3 in cardiod sound compared to ther B-1? Is it close. I'm looking for a figure 8 mic and if the B-3 sounds as good as the B-1 for acoustic guitar...it's like I can get 2 mics for the price of one. Anyone have experience...

I have a blackface that has a problem with track 3. It will play recorded tapes but will not record. I'm connected to the ADAT by an Elco connector. Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply...So if I read you correctly... 4" of 705 is better than 2" of each. Also, did you say that 705 is less expencive then 703? Thanks again.

Would it be beneficial to glue 2" 703 to 2" 705 for more broad band absorbtion? Can you get the benefit of both this way? Thanks for the help.

I have similar sized basement windows. I was thinking about using Glass blocks. The ones that are about 12"x12"x4" or so. Does anyone have any experience with these as far as sound attenuation is concerned? Would they help or be part of the problem? Thanks for the help.

Stopping Pops Do any of these things stop the pops that happen when the AC/refrigerator/or other appliances click on?

My LRC seems to be having a problem...when I press stop it goes directly into rewind. Is this a auto-locate function I've got programed by mistake or is it a problem? If it's an auto locate thing...how do I undo it? If it's a problem, is it fixable or do I need a new LRC? Please help. Thanks

Would the Soundcraft be a step up from the Alesis 24?

I'm looking at a Soundcraft Spirit E series mixer for recording 8 tracks. In their price range how do they stack up? How does the EQ sound? I'm having some problems with my mixer an Alesis Model 24...would this series Soundcraft be a noticable step up?

How much ventalation does an ADAT need? To quiet the thing down, I was going to enclose it inside a rack case...do I need to provide vents? Thanks for the help.

I've seen the Boss 770 listed as having a large number of preset patterns. I mainly record Folk, Country, Folk/Country Rock...this type of music...acoustic instruments mainly and voice. Does anyone know if the 770 has any shuffel patterns? Is it hard to program (I have an Alesis SR 16 now)...
